Hey y'all! My name is Amber McMahon and I am working towards a B.S. in Atmospheric Science, B.S. in Geography and a Geographic Information System certificate and will be graduating in spring 2027.

I was born in Athens, GA and lived in Watkinsville till age 8, when I moved to Forsyth County, so UGA has always been my dream school. I grew up watching the weather with my grandfather and when I was in the 3rd grade, I chose meteorology as my dream career. Since then, I have been working towards this dream.

Outside of academics, I am in leadership for the AMS chapter at UGA, and in leadership for my sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. Lastly, I work as an Area Manager for AMS Pools over the summer.
