My Story
Hey y'all! My name is Amber McMahon and I am working towards a B.S. in Atmospheric Science, B.S. in Geography and a Geographic Information System certificate and will be graduating in spring 2027.

I was born in Athens, GA, and lived in Watkinsville till age 8, when I moved to Forsyth County, so UGA has always been a big part of my life. I grew up watching the weather with my grandfather, and when I was in the 3rd grade, I decided meteorology was my dream career. Since then, I have been working towards this dream.

Outside of academics, I am an ambassador for the financial aid department and in leadership for the AMS chapter at UGA, and my sorority, Alpha Xi Delta.
