Colin Caldwell

Hello and thank you for checking out my WeatherDawgs page!

My Story

Hello! My name is Colin Caldwell, and I am a rising senior here at the University of Georgia majoring in both Atmospheric Sciences and Geography. Athens is my hometown, so UGA is near and dear to my heart. Having the chance to forecast weather for the community I've grown up in has been an amazing experience!

My interest in the weather started when I was around 5 years old. My grandfather, much to the chagrin of my mom, decided it would be a great idea for me to watch Twister... terrified is an understatement. During my childhood, the rare times there would be a tornado warning in Athens, I would panic, but eventually as I grew the fear morphed into curiosity; though, I definitely still have a healthy fear of severe weather. I go back and watch Twister at least once a year, and its funny to me how such an silly movie set me on a path to where I am now. Outside of WeatherDawgs, I love to play bass, go on runs, and watch movies with my friends. I am also a big fan of hockey (go lobsters!), baseball, and football.

Thanks for reading, and always remember: go dawgs!
