My Story

Hello, my name is Evan Miner. I am currently a senior majoring in Atmospheric Sciences and I am from Loganville, Georgia. From a young age, I have always had a fascination in weather and I would always find myself staying up late for any severe weather event. My interest peaked during the 2011 Super Tornado Outbreak and that is where my passion developed for weather. Growing up, I pictured myself doing something in meteorology as a career and I am set on doing broadcast meteorology for the rest of my life.

After my journey at UGA, I hope to do broadcast meteorology somewhere in the southeast where I can stay close to home. UGA has set me up with the necessary skills to succeed at the next level and I am ready to weather forecast to help people everyday. In my free time, I love being outdoors and doing anything active. I love spending time with family and friends and enjoy traveling to different places. Also, I cannot forget, I love cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Go Dawgs!
