Hello, everyone!

My Story

My passion for weather sparked when I was 6 years old, when we learned about severe weather in my science class and my interest continues to flourish. The power used to always go out during thunderstorms throughout my childhood summers, so I started to watch The Weather Channel to predict when the severe weather approached our region. I used to give weather briefings to my family about current conditions and kept a daily weather journal. My favorite weather memory was "Snowmaggedon"back in 2014 when metro-Atlanta received ample snow.

I am currently a 4th year undergraduate student at the University of Georgia studying Geography with an emphasis in climatology and atmosphere related topics along with a GIS Certificate. While my college journey has not been consistent and I changed my major multiple times, through my work with the Weather Dawgs I was able to reconnect with my childhood passion and study topics in atmospheric science.  My favorite weather phenomena is atmospheric rivers. Looking into the future, I hope to use my GIS skillset coupled with weather and climate analyses to help create adaptation and mitigation plans for vulnerable communities to become better prepared to face disasters.

Outside of my studies, some of my hobbies include playing/listening to music (huge Swiftie), going to the gym, and baking.
