Hey everyone this is Jacob! Ever since I was a young kid, I've had a deep interest in the field of meteorology (NOT the study of meteors!), and this has carried and expanded even further into the future. Some of my favorite things to do in my free time include reading books, listening to music, traveling, volunteering,  coding, and hanging out with my friends and family. My favorite weather phenomena is either a tornado or a hurricane due to the large number of unknowns and dynamical connections that must occur for them to occur. 

In the future, I really hope to either work in a research role learning the complex interactions inside a hurricane, and working to better understand the dynamics that forces severe weather, and specifically tornadogenesis. This summer I will be attending the NWC REU researching MJO Teleconnections in the Southern Hemisphere, and am looking forward to applying to graduate schools very soon!
