Paul Lagerbloom
Hello! Thank you for checking out my WeatherDawgs page! It is an honor (and a heck of a lot of fun) to be a part of this team and bring you forecasts for Athens/North Georgia. Below is more about me and my journey into this program. Please feel free to connect with and reach out to me on the social media links below!
My Story
My love for weather came from a love of aviation, and the crossover between the two. I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL and every year would go to the air show they had on the beach. I had the privilege to talk to some of the pilots that would fly in the air shows and would love to hear them talk about how the weather would impact how they would fly the show. This interest has brought me to the University of Georgia and the WeatherDawgs.
I love being able to go outside in the morning and know, not only, what the weather will be, but the why behind it as well. Its my passion to be able to bring this why to everyone's day-to-day life, to understand the world around them a little bit better.
I aspire to graudate in May 2027 with degrees in atmospheric science and geography. I would love to find work that allows me to talk about the weather with others, whether that be in an operational role like the National Weather Service, or in broadcast meteorology at a local news station.
