A Taste of Winter

Good Evening Athens and Northern Georgia!

We hope you all enjoyed the warm summer-like temperatures this weekend! We went from wearing shorts to winter jackets in one day! That crisp cold air was definitely a strong way to wake up this Monday morning!

Yesterday, we hit a high of 75 degrees in Athens and 69 in Canton, with a low of 45 in Athens and 46 in Canton. Today, we actually broke the record for the lowest high In Athens for November 10th, hitting a high of 43 degrees! Quite a drastic difference in temperature today!

For tomorrow we can expect a low of 27 degrees in Athens and 24 in Canton. Slightly warming up compared to today, we expect a high of 48 in Athens and 44 in Canton.

Starting off this Monday with winter coming In hot, as we settle later into the week, we can expect winter to creep back a bit, as we will experience a gradual increase in temperatures. Additionally, compared to today's strong wind gusts, our winds will back down as well. We still expect high pressure to dominate this week, leaving us with dry, clear, and sunny days.

Canton has a 10% chance of seeing some flurries tonight, so definitely cue up some winter activities! You can put that winter jacket away starting on Wednesday, so just one more cold day to get through. One more perfect day to cozy up and watch your favorite winter movie with a nice cup of hot chocolate!

Enjoy your sneak peak into winter, and go Dawgs!

Wedging it

Today in Athens was rather pleasant, though we have been colder than we were last week due to the wedge. There is a high-pressure system sitting off the coast of New England that is forcing colder air
