Cool Night & Warm Day

Good evening, Athens and North Georgia! Today started beautifully clear and clouds have moved in during the early afternoon. Hopefully you took advantage of the nice weather and enjoyed some time outside today. If not then you are in luck as the beautiful fall like weather will be sticking around!

Overnight North Georgia will be cooling down significantly to the lower 40s with no chance of rain. Athens will cool down to 43 degrees and Canton will reach 41 degrees. If you are going out this evening consider wearing a jacket and enjoying some hot chocolate.

Tomorrow North Georgia will be warming back up into the upper 70s with no chance of rain once again. Athens and Canton will both reach 78 degrees. It will be another lovely day to go outside and do some outdoor activities. Tomorrow would be a great day to go get yourself a pumpkin to decorate for fall and upcoming Halloween!

All of this clear weather is nice for outdoor activities but there is a flip side to it. Looking at the drought monitor, North Georgia as a whole is abnormally dry with parts of North Georgia experiencing severe drought. No rain is expected tomorrow nor for the near future either so drought conditions are expected to worsen. North Georgia being abnormally dry like this also naturally comes with fire danger so please be mindful of that.
