Dry Through Tomorrow, Some Showers Sunday

Happy Thursday, Athens and North Georgia! We hope you've had a great week.

We have a big weekend ahead, but before we get into the weekend forecast, let's look at tonight and tomorrow:

Tonight in Athens, we'll hit a low of 50 with few clouds, then warm to a high of 79 tomorrow afternoon with mostly sunny skies

In Canton, the low will fall to 49 degrees, also with few clouds. The high will reach 78 with cloudy skies.

Now for this weekend:

If you have any outdoor plans for Halloween, good news! It looks like we'll scoot by without any rain in North Georgia by the skin of our teeth! Highs across the region will be in the low 70s. Then, as the sun sets, temperatures will drop into the 60s and eventually to the low 50s by early morning on Sunday. There is a low chance of showers beginning late Saturday night, however, so keep that in mind.

Sunday looks to be our rainier day, but it will not be a washout. Showers and some rumbles of thunder will be scattered throughout the day, with most rain over by the afternoon/evening. Highs will reach the mid 60s thanks to the clouds and rain.

Also, don't forget to set your clocks back an hour Sunday morning! Daylight Saving Time is upon us again.

Have a great weekend and GO DAWGS!
