Fall High Pressure Dominates

Good afternoon Athens and North Georgia!

I hope you all are having a great Wednesday! Tonight's low temperature for Athens is expected to be around 58°F, and the low for the remainder of North Georgia is 57°F. Grab a jacket for your morning commute.

Tomorrow, the high temperature is expected to reach 90°F in Athens and 87°F for the rest of North Georgia. High pressure continues to dominate the Southeast U.S. tomorrow, which is why we can anticipate such big changes between the morning low and the afternoon high. No precipitation is expected tonight or tomorrow for Athens or North Georgia.

Looking forward to Friday evening, a strong cold frontal passage will occur across northern Georgia, bringing a significant cooldown this weekend compared to this week's weather. This will be a dry frontal passage, though, so no precipitation is expected.

Enjoy the game against Auburn on Saturday afternoon, and Go Dawgs!
