Nearly Triple Digits for the Weekend

Good evening Athens, North Georgia, and our viewers! Today we felt a scorching high temperature of 99 degrees. This marked the highest temperature in Georgia for August 2024.

Tonight Athens can expect a low of 70 degrees with a small chance of rain. A chance of scattered showers increases into tomorrow afternoon and the weekend. We'll see slightly cooler temperatures into the weekend as well due to the cold front on its way.

Tonight North Georgia will see slightly cooler conditions with a low of 69 and a small chance of showers. Highs will dip into the high 80s this weekend and be prepared for some scattered showers.
