Returning to "Normal" Weather Mid-Week

Tyler Sendra

Good evening, Bulldog Nation!

In Athens today, we reached an almost comfortable high temperature of 55 degrees. If any remaining ice/snow in your yard disappeared today, you can blame the clear skies and sun! Moving into tonight, a cold front is expected to pass through our area, bringing lower temperatures. For your class commute tomorrow morning, plan to bring an extra layer. Temperatures are expected to be below freezing, nearing 30 degrees. Throughout the day, we are anticipating the sun to warm us back up, somewhere in the low to mid 50s.

Moving into the rest of the week, not much is changing in Northern Georgia, we're forecasting more of the same on Thursday. We expect the persistent sunshine to bump the temperature up just a few degrees. If you have some extra time over the next few days, try to get outside and enjoy the sunrays! For those of you with weekend plans, keep an eye out for rainy weather from Friday night into Saturday. Consider planning your transportation to and from downtown accordingly.

Have a great rest of the week Bulldogs!
