September Heats Things Up

Good evening, Athens and Northern Georgia!


As August comes to an end today, we reached highs of 93 degrees in Athens and 91 degrees in Canton. Tonight, we can expect a well-needed cool-down to 72 degrees in Athens and 70 degrees in Canton.


Kicking off September tomorrow, we can expect this heat to linger on, so it's not quite time for those pumpkin spice lattes yet. Athens will reach 95 degrees, and Canton 93 degrees. It will be a sunny, dry, and hot day, so drink lots of water!


Unfortunately, with high pressure persisting into the next few days, that sun will be shining strongly, and those fall temperatures are not in sight yet. But if summer is your season, you're in luck!
