Short-Lived Relief From the Heat

Good evening, Athens and North Georgia! We hope you've enjoyed the "cooler" day we've had today thanks to the Wedge (cooler air to our northeast filtered into the Southeast by the Appalachian Mountains).

We'll be partly to mostly cloudy throughout the night tonight and into tomorrow morning, which will keep the low in Athens to 70 degrees. Canton will fall to 69 degrees.

As we head into tomorrow, clouds will start to dissipate into the afternoon, and the high in Athens will reach 88 degrees. Canton, influenced slightly less by the Wedge and clouds, will hit 89 degrees.

In terms of rain, we'll be pretty dry. No rain is expected overnight in either location, and while that persists tomorrow in Athens, a low, 10%, chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm near Canton.
