Good evening, Athens and North Georgia!


This morning we cooled down to a nice temperature of 65 degrees in both Athens and Canton, and quickly climbed back up to 91 degrees in both Athens and Canton again! We can definitely feel those scorching temperatures from last week creeping back in.


For tomorrow, we can expect to cool down to 68 degrees in Athens and 67 in Canton for the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately, tomorrow will be an uncomfortably hot one, reaching 93 degrees in both Athens and Canton, with heat indexes approaching 100 degrees. Make sure to drink plenty of water and stay in the shade, because we are looking at a clear and sunny day as well!


Looking into this weekend, we see a window open up for possible showers and thunderstorms beginning Friday evening. The most persistent rain seems to roll in on Saturday, so it might be an umbrella type of day at Sanford!
