Good afternoon Athens and North Georgia!


Today was another unseasonably warm day with a high of 90º here in the classic city. We'll cool back down overnight with a low of 64º in Athens and 61º for Canton with no precipitation tonight.


Friday will be another above-average day with a high of 87º in Athens and 84º in Canton before a cold front makes its way through the state throughout the afternoon. This cold front will remain mostly dry except for slight rain chances for northwest Georgia.


After the cold front passes you can expect to see sweater weather in time for the UGA v. Auburn game. For your weekend, you can expect lows in the mid 40's with highs in the 60's across the state. Those cooler temperatures will hang around through most of next week.
