Good afternoon North Georgia! The temperatures felt throughout our area today have been nothing short of wonderful. A picture perfect Spring day in Georgia! Most places hit the 80 degree mark. The hottest day this year thus far! Conditions will unfortunately deteriorate throughout the overnight with increased cloud cover. We should bounce back Saturday into Sunday, but don't rule out any popup showers or thunderstorms just yet. For the most part we should have a beautiful St. Patrick's Day weekend!

Tonight we will get down to the mid 50s. Clouds will begin to roll in relatively later though. In return will bring a rain event for most of Georgia and the surrounding states.

We should warm up to the mid 70s tomorrow. There will be a slight chance of rain before noon. Our best chance of any significant or hazardous weather will be between the mid-afternoon hours on into late-evening with chance of rain being around 70%. Accumulations are expected to be between a quarter and half of an inch. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph in some areas. Be sure to stay weather alert and aware as we embark into the first week of Spring!
