Unsettled Weather

Good afternoon Dawg Nation, hope your week is going great! The stormy afternoon weather is expected to persist through today and the weekend. Today, parts of North Georgia are under a Level 1 risk of severe weather, meaning some storms could be severe with damaging winds, small hail, and the risk of flash flooding. Storms are expected to begin around 2 pm and persist until 10 pm. Although severe weather isn't expected for the rest of the weekend, any storm on a given day has the chance to produce strong winds and cause flash flooding, especially in poor drainage areas, so its good to stay alert! Highs this weekend are expected to warm into the low 90s on Saturday and Sunday into next week, where scattered afternoon showers and storms will still be in our forecast. Have a great weekend and Go Dawgs!
