It has been nothing but dry here in Athens for the past several days. Apart from the smoke from wildfires and the dry air, we had a beautiful day today. Tonight, our persisting dry conditions will cool us to a low of 51 with clear skies. So if you’re going outside, you might want to wear some light layers. Tomorrow, we will warm greatly to a high of 84 degrees, with clear skies and relatively calm winds. We will continue to stay dry. The wildfires in southeast Georgia are lowering our air...

Today in Athens was rather pleasant, though we have been colder than we were last week due to the wedge. There is a high-pressure system sitting off the coast of New England that is forcing colder air down the Appalachians towards us. So in Athens, we are getting chillier winds from the northeast. Pretty interesting, right? Well enough of that, tonight, we will stay on the chillier side and cool to a low of 45 degrees. We will have clear skies, but some persistent winds throughout the night....
