Tanner Murray

Thank you for checking out my weather dawgs page! I am very thankful for the opportunity to provide North Georgia with dependable forecasts. You can read more about me down below.

My Story

My name is Tanner Murray, and I am a third-year undergraduate student at UGA. I am planning to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in December of 2027. I have really enjoyed getting to explore the field of meteorology as a weather dawg this fall.
After graduation, I plan to explore opportunities that combine engineering with the field of atmospheric sciences. This may involve pursuing a graduate degree in atmospheric sciences or possibly entering the field directly. I would ultimately want to engineer radar systems and data collection devices to improve weather prediction.
In all, I want to improve the field of meteorology and make weather prediction more accurate by applying my engineering background with my passion for weather.
