A Frightful Chill in the Air...

The cold front we have been preparing for has finally passed through the North Georgia region. It brought some precipitation along the boundary and many counties in North Georgia saw a small amount of rainfall.

This front is going to be dropping temperatures tonight well below what we have been used to, putting most of North Georgia in a freeze warning for the night. This means lows will be in the low 30's tonight, and outdoor pets and plants should be brought inside to prevent harm. This warning extends until 10 AM tomorrow, where temperatures will heat up throughout the day into the mid 50's with much clearer skies than we saw today.

Tomorrow night, a freeze watch will be extended over the same region preparing for similarly cool lows to tonight. Stay aware as you are heading out trick-or-treating tonight and make sure the little ones add an extra layer to their costumes!

Happy Halloween from the Weather Dawgs team!
