A Seasonal Start to February

Good afternoon! For our viewers in Athens and North Georgia, temperatures were once again comfortable today after a brief spurt of rain showers overnight. Skies have been mostly clear, and the winds have been rather calm, making for a calm end to January. As we enter into February, conditions will remain persistent under high pressure, with generally seasonal highs in the mid-to-upper 50s (possibly to the lower 60s in some locations) and calm conditions.

For Athens, we are expecting a low in the middle 30s with calm and clear conditions. Thursday will be much of the same, with highs rising into the mid-to-upper 50s and clear conditions persisting throughout the day (though some high clouds might slip in towards the evening).

For North Georgia, we are expecting lows in the middle-to-lower 30s with generally calm and clear conditions. Highs will rebound once again to near climatological normal during the day tomorrow, with highs in the mid-50s and generally clear conditions.

Overall, it will be a very pleasant way to wrap up the first month of 2024 and head into February! Enjoy the calm weather! Go Dawgs!!!
