A dry spell

Good afternoon to all our readers! The weather across the North Georgia region is continuing to stay dry, sunny, and warm. It seems like a witch has casted a "dry spell" on us just in time for the spooky season as we have not had any measurable rainfall since September 30th, which puts us in a moderate drought. Rainfall isn't expected anytime soon, so we will continue to be high [pressure] and dry here in the southeast. Here in Athens, we hit a high of of 79 degrees with plenty of sunshine. Overnight, we will bottom out at a clean 50 degrees with light winds and skies remaining clear. We are expected to warm up slightly more tomorrow at a high of 81 as dewpoints rebound and it feels slightly more humid tomorrow. No rain is expected in the area for the next few days, so enjoy the warm and sunny weather while it lasts!

Across North Georgia, much of the same story is expected with lows falling into the upper 40s and skies staying clear. Tomorrow, highs will start creeping into the mid to upper 70s and even a few 80s are expected. This means temperatures will be running 5 - 10 degrees above average for this time of year. Of course, sunshine will be plentiful with little to no passing clouds.

Thank you for tuning into the Weather Dawgs blog post and enjoy the rest of your day! Make sure to tune in tomorrow for an updated forecast.
