A Taste of Fall

Happy Thursday Athens and North Georgia! We got a sneak peek of fall today after experiencing a strong wedge. Athens only saw a high of 68 with cloudy skies, and Canton a bit warmer than us at 73.


Tonight, we should expect slightly chilly, cloudy night. Athens falls to around 57 and Canton reaches 58. The low temperatures are going to be a similar story for most of North Georgia. There is a 10% chance of precipitation for Canton but we are not expecting anything here in Athens overnight.


Tomorrow, the wedge begins to weaken, allowing the temperatures to warm up. We will also have less cloud cover, causing the sun to heat us up as well. Here in Athens we will reach 78 and 77 in Canton. Most of North Georgia should see high temperatures in the 70s with Rome Georgia potentially reaching into the low 80s.


This weekend we have a home game in Athens against Oklahoma! Kickoff is at 3:30 and will be mostly sunny. It will warm up to 83 on Saturday with some clouds potentially moving in at halftime. Even though this is our coolest game of the season so far, it will still be hot so make sure to stay hydrated!
