Keeping Warm and Keeping Sunny!

Good afternoon Athens and North Georgia! We have been having a beautifully warm and sunny past couple of days. Temperatures are staying consistently in the low-90s during the day with cooler temperatures in the mornings and evenings. Clear skies have been making the days all the better, plenty of reasons to get outdoors and take a break as school gets into full swing!

Thinking about overnight temperatures, Athens should be expecting a low of 69ºF with mainly clear skies and little to no wind. Tomorrow, the high in the Athens area should be about 95ºF, the skies again staying clear during the day. Another warm one! For our North Georgia readers, the low overnight should be 66ºF with a high tomorrow of 93ºF. Conditions will stay pretty similar to Athens with another equally beautiful day!

These reasoning behind these warm and clear days is a high pressure system that has been sitting over our area. This high pressure has also kept our humidity at bay, making for more enjoyable outdoor weather. Looking to Labor Day weekend and early next week, however, we can expect a return of clouds and possible chances of rain. More will come on that as the weekend draws near. Soak up the sun and warm temperatures while it lasts, and don't let any clouds deter you from cheering for the Dawgs in Atlanta this weekend!
