Persistent Weather is Key

For our viewers in North Georgia and Athens, we enjoyed a nice weekend until storms entered our area Sunday overnight into Monday, bringing rain and overcast conditions. On the flip side, the temperatures will be slightly cooler for tomorrow, giving us a short break from the hot summer heat. As we head into overnight hours in Athens, we expect the temperatures to dip into the upper 60s with mostly clear conditions throughout the night. Tomorrow, we expect mostly sunny skies with zero chance of rain, and the high temperature is expected to go into the upper 80s.

Going into the overnight hours in North Georgia, we expect the low temperatures to move into the mid 60s with mostly clear conditions. Tomorrow, we expect mostly sunny skies with zero chance of rain, and the high temperature will peak in the mid to upper 80s.

As we go ahead into later in the week, persistence is key as we expect similar conditions to last week with gradual warming leading high temperatures to peak into the low 90s, low temperatures going into the low 70s, and scattered showers to pop up in the late afternoon.
