Refreshing Cold Front Passage

1 min read

Good afternoon Athens and North Georgia!

I hope you all are having a great Thursday! Tonight's low temperature for Athens is expected to be around 59°F, and the low for the remainder of North Georgia is a considerably cooler 53°F. Cloudy conditions and a small chance of rainfall will likely persist during the overnight hours in Athens, while Northwest Georgia starts to clear out after the frontal passage.

Tomorrow, the high temperature is expected to reach 74°F in Athens and 71°F for the rest of North Georgia. Cooler, drier air will begin to reach Northwest Georgia before eventually filtering into the Athens area. No precipitation is expected tomorrow for Athens or North Georgia.

Looking forward to the weekend, the forecast looks absolutely beautiful, with near-normal fall-like temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Precipitation is not expected, as high pressure moves back into the region.

Enjoy the game against Ole Miss on Saturday evening, and Go Dawgs!
