A Change Coming Soon

For our viewers in North Georgia and Athens, we have been stuck in a stagnant and presistent high pressure system for the past few days. It has brought us some very nice weather with clear skies and warm temperatures. But that is going change over the next few days as an impending low pressure system will bring clouds, cooler temperatures and a chance of rain, which will definitly help alleviate the ongoing drought.

But going into the overnight hours into Athens, we expect to see a few clouds and the low hovering in the mid 50's. For tomorrow, increasing cloud cover throughout the day, with a very slight chance of rain. The high will peak right at 80 degrees.

For North Georgia, increasing clouds will be present throughout the night, with the low dipping down into the mid 50's. For tomorrow, those clouds will stay in place, along with a slight chance for some rain showers. The high will rise into the upper 70's.

As w elook ahead, the impending low pressure system is expected to move into the area late tomorrow and into Friday, bringing cooler temepratures, cloudy skies and the chance for some rain showers. But the showers are suppose to end by the time the Bulldogs plays the Rebels on Saturday night. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the weekend. Have a great evening!
