Heat Incoming!

Good evening, Athens and North Georgia! We had a hot one here in Athens today, reaching a high of 77 degrees! High pressure had been residing over Georgia for some time now, resulting in clear skies and a predominantly sunny day. These conditions allowed us to reach this high.

Athens and North Georgia will experience pleasant conditions overnight. A low of around 55 degrees is expected, with partly cloudy skies and light winds. However, in Athens, it’s advisable to exercise caution during your work or school commute as patchy, dense fog is possible in the early morning.

If you enjoyed today’s weather, you’ll be delighted to know that the same conditions will persist for the next two days! The temperatures are expected to reach the upper 70s and low 80s, with mostly clear skies and dry conditions. However, it’s worth noting that the weather forecast for Saturday and the days that follow indicates the potential for a frontal system to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
