Here come the clouds!

Good evening Athens and North Georgia! We have had a beautiful past few days, with high temperatures and sunny skies. Our clear weather, however, will be leaving us briefly as some new clouds begin to enter out area overnight and the next few days. Even with the clouds, our temperatures are expected to stay high!

For our Athens area, the expected low for tonight will be 60ºF. Looking to tomorrow, even with the clouds the forecasted high is 81ºF so make sure to stay cool! Now for our more North Georgia viewers, the forecasted low for tonight is just slightly higher than Athens due to that cloud cover at 61ºF. For tomorrow, the forecasted high is slightly lower sitting at 80ºF.

The clouds beginning to cover Athens and North Georgia are coming off of a mid-latitude cyclone that will be moving past over the next day or so. The bulk of the storm and the rains, however, will not pass over much of Georgia, only touching parts of the top of North Georgia. Because of this, there are no chances of rain in Athens or North Georgia overnight.

As the week goes on, keep a look out for any change in precipitation chances and temperatures. Thank you for tuning in with the WeatherDawgs, and keep enjoying the warm weather!
