Good afternoon, Athens and North Georgia! If you’re wondering where our cold daytime temperatures went, don't worry they will be returning later this week for Thanksgiving! Currently, Athens is sitting at 73 degrees with a Southwest breeze. Tonight, the low will reach around 56 degrees, with showers possible in the early morning hours.

North Georgia can expect similar conditions with slightly cooler temperatures, with a low tonight around 52 degrees. As we move into tomorrow, we can expect a cold frontal passage bringing that chance of precipitation in the early morning hours. As this cold front passes through, bringing cold air down from Canada, overnight lows will dip into the 40s later in the week, with overnight lows for Thanksgiving in the mid-30s. Finally, those end-of-semester cool temperatures are starting to peak through as we approach this holiday season.

I hope everyone has a restful Thanksgiving holiday, as you're digging into your favorite dish, don't forget to get your holiday sweaters out for these dropping temperatures!
