How Low Can We Go?

Our viewers in North Georgia and Athens got the first taste of a passing cold front yesterday as temperatures dropped significantly to the 30s last night, and temperatures today stayed cool in the mid 40s and 50s. Now as a high pressure system moves over Georgia, sky conditions will stay clear and dry causing this cooling trend to continue through the night.


Tonight, we expect our low in Athens to dip down into the upper 20s. Meanwhile, our viewers in North Georgia will experience lows in the lower 20s, just a few degrees cooler than Athens. Make sure to turn your heaters up and keep your faucets dripping as these temperatures will drop below freezing.


Tomorrow, we expect the high in Athens and North Georgia to reach up into the low 50s while conditions remain sunny and dry.


These cool and dry conditions will persist until Friday where we will be reintroduced with another rainy weekend. However, this rain will not stop our Dawgs from devouring Bama at the SEC Championship game on Saturday. So, enjoy these pleasant conditions while they last, stay warm, and as always, GO DAWGS!
