Good evening Athens, North Georgia, and our viewers! Today, Athens and North Georgia experienced a chillier Monday afternoon compared to the temperatures we felt last week. This is the result of a low pressure system which will be making its way over Georgia beginning tonight. Associated with this low pressure system will be cooler temperatures, winds, and lots of rain. Make sure to grab your raincoat and umbrella before heading out the door these next few days!

Tonight, Athens can expect temperatures to remain in the low 50s and skies to be cloudy. Beginning tomorrow afternoon Athens will experience scattered rain showers. These are expected to continue through Wednesday afternoon. Heading into the weekend, skies will clear and temperatures will peak in the 70s once again.

Tonight, North Georgia can expect scattered rain showers late in the evening. These rain showers will continue through tomorrow afternoon and into Wednesday. Heading into Thursday and the rest of the weekend, skies will clear and temperatures will peak in the 70s.

Stay tuned for updated daily forecasts throughout the week. Go Dawgs!
