Is It Hot in Here or is It Just Me?

Good afternoon Athens and north Georgia,


Newsflash: it's hot.


Unfortunately, it's going to stay that way for next few days into the weekend. Overnight, Athens and much of north Georgia is falling to a warm 76 degrees. Tomorrow we're expecting Athens to reach a high of 98 with the rest of north Georgia hitting 97.


There is a slight chance of storms tomorrow across north Georgia due to scattered afternoon storms. There is still heavy model disagreement on the scale and location of said storms, but we have Athens at a 20% chance of precipitation.


Tomorrow, try to minimize time outside, wear sunscreen, and make sure to stay hydrated!
