Happy Thanksgiving Week WeatherDawgs readers!

We have some active weather in store for us in the early portion of this week here in North Georgia. A midlatitude cyclone is sweeping across the nation and will bring heavy rain for North Georgia early Tuesday morning, becoming stronger throughout the day. These showers and storms have placed most of the state in a marginal risk for severe weather, meaning we are looking at the possibility of severe thunderstorms and strong winds. Much needed rain and potential storms will linger into the overnight hours in North Georgia, and a slight chance of rain will remain throughout the day on Wednesday.

On Thanksgiving we can expect cool temperatures across North Georgia, with highs ranging from the mid 50's to low 60's. It will be partly cloudy with around a 20% chance of showers, with chances increasing into the evening. By Friday, we could see rain returning for most of North Georgia with continued cool temperatures with highs in the mid to upper 50's.

It is going to be a cool and rainy week here in North Georgia, and we here at the WeatherDawgs team hope you and your family have a safe and restful Thanksgiving!
