Seeing Some Much Needed Sunshine

Good evening, North Georgia! It's been a weekend full of recovery efforts for much of our area as communities work to rebuild after Hurricane Helene. Eastern Georgia faced the worst damage, with close to ten inches of rain, flash floods, downed trees, and loss of power. While it will take an extended period of times for many local communities to recover from the storm's damage, we can take comfort in the fact that our weather looks much brighter as we enter a new week.

We begin tomorrow morning with a slight chance for light showers during the morning commute. We also see the chance for some patchy fog - be cautious while driving to work! However, once we get through a few dreary hours in the morning, we will be clear and dry for the remainder of the week.

Our highs will be in the low to mid 80s as we enjoy clear blue skies. We won't see any rain chances due to a high pressure system sitting over our area. Our overnight lows will be in the low to mid 60s - meaning you'll get to enjoy a taste of early fall in the mornings.

The WeatherDawgs will continue to bring updates as our communities recover in the following weeks and months. Enjoy the improving weather this week and, as always, Go Dawgs!
