Good evening viewers! In North Georgia and Athens, today was a comfortable day with mostly clear conditions and pleasant spring temperatures. We have been experiencing warmer than average conditions these past few days and this trend will continue into next week as well. On Friday, the region is expected to receive slight showers, nothing too severe, throughout Friday, which will clear out by the weekend.

For tonight, Athens is forecasted to reach a low in the mid 50s, much higher than this past week. Thunderstorms rolling through the night with wind gusts approaching 20 mph. There is a 100% chance of rain overnight, with conditions clearing out by the morning commute. Tomorrow's high is expected to reach the mid 60s with generally clear skies, with winds remaining variable.
