St. Patty's Day Plans?

We are officially half way through the work week and March (crazy, I know!), which means your favorite green holiday is only two days away! This year it falls on a Friday which is perfect for making plans. Whatever those St Patrick's Day plans are, we suggest including a green rain jacket or umbrella as a 70% chance of rain is expected throughout Friday!

As for tonight and tomorrow, North Georgia and Athens should expect much of the same weather conditions we've experienced all week. Tonight's low temperatures around our coverage area are stuck in the mid to lower 30's accompanied by the Freeze Warning that is set to expire at 10:00am tomorrow. The high temperatures for tomorrow will return to a more seasonable feel with Athens expected to hit 65 degrees and North Ga in the mid 60's.

Looking up, skies will remain clear until later in the evening and dew points will also begin to creep up as Thursday turns into Friday. The disruption to the steady weather pattern we have had all week is due to a low pressure system that will move into Georgia late Thursday night/early Friday morning. This system that is bringing spring showers is moving quickly and by Saturday morning, you will be able to return to your regularly scheduled outdoor activities!
