Stormy Weather Incoming

Good evening Athens and North Georgia! We hope you had a wonderful weekend of sunny skies and warm temperatures, because we are preparing for some interesting weather within the next few days for Athens and North Georgia. Here in Athens we are expecting to reach a low of 42 degrees with overcast and isolated showers as we get close to your early morning commutes. Expect some rain early in the morning, with more intensive precipitation arriving later tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures are expected to rise to around 45 degrees.


In North Georgia, the temperatures are expected to drop to a low 41 degrees with overcast, similar to Athens. Depending on the rain, you may need to bring a rain jacket or umbrella for your early morning commute, so make sure you are weather prepared! Temperatures are expected to rise to around 44 degrees. So make sure you wear something warm! The storm that is moving in is expected to be light to moderately heavy rain near Athens Georgia, where North Georgia is expected to get more heavier precipitation as the storm progresses through Georgia.
