Summer Is Holding On Tight!

Good evening Athens!

As we make our quite warm entrance into the weekend we can expect this period of dry sunny weather to transition into some potential rain/storms as the result of a cold front moving east over the next few days. As for tonights weather we can expect lows in the mid 40s and clear skies, perfect weather to see 2025s largest supermoon rising tonight. Winds will also remain calm for the remainder of the night.

Our Friday forecast should look pretty similar to todays weather. High temperatures expected to get up into the low-mid 70s again. skies should remain mostly sunny and mostly clear until the evening hours when scattered showers and tunderstorms are expected to move through the area. Overcast skies overnight should cap lows around the mid-high 50s. While a front should be moving through with this system of showers, no big temperature changes will take plce until the begining of next week.

Moving into the weekend, rain chances will decrease going into saturday and Sunday but we should expect to see some pop-up showers throughout both days. Temps will carry on their same trend (highs in the low 70s). The cold front will finally pass through Georgia overnight Sunday leading to much colder temeratures going into monday.

While it may still be quite toasty outside, cooler temperatures are coming. Once this frintal passge moves through we should see lows getting into the 20s next week and hopefully get more of that fall feel outside.

Have a good evening and go dawgs!
