Summer Weather Weekend

Good afternoon Athens and North Georgia!

We are finally starting to feel like summer with the hotter days we've had this week. And we are going to continue to see this summery trend throughout this weekend.

For Athens tonight, our low is going to sit around 58°, with Canton sitting a degree warmer at 59°. Tomorrow we will see temperatures continue to rise with highs of 85° and 84° for Athens and Canton respectively.

Looking ahead to the weekend, we will see increases across the board, with highs reaching into the mid to high-80s and lows falling to around the mid-60s.

As you're enjoying the weather this weekend, make sure to be cautious of sun exposure. All weekend, our UV indexes will be in the 8-9 ranges, certainly high enough to cause a sunburn if not taken seriously. Make sure to wear sunscreen when outside, and take breaks in the shade every few hours.
