Sunny Skies and Warm Ups

Good afternoon, Bulldawgs! We have had a rather gusty day today as a cold front moved through earlier today. Winds are expected to calm down to 0-6 miles per hour, with sunny skies throughout most of North and Central Georgia. What a great way to start the spring! For tonight in Athens we are expecting a low of 44 degrees, with minimal cloud cover. Whereas with North Georgia, we are expecting cooler conditions tonight, with a low of 43 degrees. Tomorrow we are expecting highs in Athens to be around 75 degrees, with North Georgia expecting to climb to near 73 degrees. This warm up will be a much needed break from the rain and clouds we have been receiving the past few days. This will be great for fun in the sun activities, but make sure to keep your sunscreen applied and smiles high. There is also a red flag warning in effect for North Georgia, with fire risks present as far south as Dublin. A red flag warning is a condition in which relative humidity is low, with otherwise dry conditions for a period of time that will favor fire development and fire spreading. So make sure to be safe with any fires that you may start during the next few days and be weather aware! Have a wonderful start to your spring, and go dawgs!
