The Cold is Clearing Out

Good evening Dawgs! We hope you enjoyed your time in the snow! It is not often that Athens sees this kind of weather, let alone twice in one season. Though most of it has now melted away, campus looked absolutely beautiful covered in a blanket of snow and we loved to see everyone outside enjoying the winter weather!

Fortunately for us in North Georgia those below freezing temperatures and winter storms  have finally been chased away. Today Athens reached a high of 41 degrees and similar highs were seen across the state. However tonight we will once again drop below freezing. The winds in Athens will calm out, and with limited clouds in the sky we expect a low 23 degrees. Tomorrow Athens will continue the trend of warming up during the day now that the polar vortex has begun to retreat northward. The predicted high is to be about 44 degrees. This warmer weather will be accompanied by some sunny skies as well!

In the near future we expect temperatures to continue to rise gradually. There is no sign of snow in the forecast but we will keep you posted if we see anymore!

Thanks for reading everyone and Go Dawgs!
