Winter is on our heels once again. A powerful cold front came through our area over the weekend bringing a cold air mass to dominate our weather for the next few days. Be on the lookout for below average temperatures all across North Georgia. For the winter lovers this is a welcoming sight in contrast to the warmer than average temperatures we have seen over the past few weeks.

All across portions of Central and North Georgia are under a Freeze Warning tonight. Areas primarily north of a line from Harris to Hones to Hancock should expect low temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s. Areas in the higher elevations of North Georgia could see temperatures as cool as the lower 20s. Might want to secure loose patio furniture with winds sustaining 15mph and gusting up to 30mph tomorrow.

For our Athens viewers expect our overnight low to get down to 29 degrees. With the temperatures rebounding to hit 54 degrees. Wetter weather will be coming in later on in the week with our next system pushing through.
