Weekend Washout: Storms on the Horizon

Good Evening, Dawg Nation! What a nice week we have had! The pollen sure has been high and the winds strong but, that has not stopped me from enjoying the lovely spring weather!

This nice, clear weather will continue throughout much of the weekend until Saturday night, where we can expect to see some showers push in. We will likely see thunderstorms come through Sunday night and lead into much of Monday. The Storm Prediction Center has currently highlighted northwest Georgia, in a 15% Risk for Severe Weather on Sunday. Athens is highlighted in this risk on Monday. Be sure to tune into where you get your weather updates as this storm treks through. We will be keeping an eye out on the storm and updating our social media platforms with any major developments.

Tonight in Athens, we can expect a low of around 46 degrees, and tomorrow, a very nice high of 79 degrees. You can expect mostly sunny skies and calm wind speeds.

I hope you all have a beautiful weekend, and stay dry! Go Dawgs!
