Wet Easter Weekend

Good evening, Athens and North Georgia!

I hope you all have had a fantastic week!

We have had quite the hot and boring week, but I promise you, that will come to an end as we get into the weekend.

Looking first at tomorrow, we will continue our boring weather for a little bit longer. Overnight, both Athens and Canton will reach lows of 60°. Both locations could see the possibility of a stray shower tonight, but I wouldn't count on any serious rain. Tomorrow, we will continue to see our highs reach the 80s, with Athens reaching 82°, and Canton a degree cooler at 81°. There could still be the possibility of a stray shower tomorrow, but again, it won't amount to much.

Now to the more exciting(and somewhat unfortunate) news. We are tracking a cold front that is currently over the Mid-West. That cold front will continue to move eastward as the weekend progresses, and will most likely pass through our area early Sunday morning. This will lead to some pretty soggy egg hunts, but it will help to alleviate the drought that Georgia has been experiencing over the past couple of weeks. So there is a silver lining so to speak. And despite the wet weather, I hope you all have an amazing Easter!

Have a great weekend and Go Dawgs!
