Wet Weekend

Emily Cranston

Good evening Athens, North Georgia, and our viewers. We experienced warm, sunny conditions today in Athens in North Georgia, but unfortunately these clear skies are not here to stay. A low pressure system is currently making its way to Georgia and will bring scattered thunderstorms and cooler temperatures to our area for the weekend.

Moving in to tonight, Athens can expect clear skies and a small chance of showers. As we head into the rest of the weekend we will be experiencing scattered thunderstorms through Sunday night. Temperatures will slowly drop over the weekend, falling to a high of 64 degrees on Sunday. A perfect weekend to stay in and prep for finals, Dawgs!

For North Georgia, similar conditions are to be expected. Scattered thunderstorms will be present and temperatures will slowly drop as we approach Sunday evening.

Have a great weekend and go Dawgs!
