A Day Away From The Rain

Good evening, Dawgs! Today, Athens had a beautiful morning followed by a cloudy but still relevantly warm afternoon. But this will change with the impending effects of the Wedge, coming up on Wednesday. Temperatures will shift across North Georgia dipping cooler for the first time in a while. Following up after the Wedge on Wednesday night into Thursday morning will be a front. As that front moves across Georgia on Thursday, we expect a cold and gloomy day in Athens. Athens is predicted to get a quarter of an inch but other locations in North Georgia can expect more. This rain will be gone by the weekend meaning Saturday game day will be beautiful!

But for now, we turn to the specifics for tonight. We expect skies to remain clear for most of the night and the wind nearly unnoticeable. Temperatures will drop into the 40s across North Georgia, with Athens reaching a low of 47 degrees. Wednesday morning Athens can expect to wake up to a colder fall day. The cloudiness will be increasing as well as the wind throughout the day as the front approaches, meaning Athens will only reach a high of 60 degrees. There will be no rain all day but later Wednesday night we could see some drizzles in Athens so stay weather aware everyone!

Thanks for reading and Go Dawgs!
