A Francine-Fueled Wet Weekend

Hello and good evening Athens! As a well needed change of pace for our plants, rain is back on the menu starting today! The outer bands of now Tropical Depression Francine has entered our area giving us some widespread light rain and wind today. Our good friend, the wedge, combined with the clouds has kept our daytime temperatures today well below the average high as temperatures in Athens have hovered around the 70° mark. We won't see a very drastic cool off however as we look to only be in the mid 60's with lower clouds tonight; this is comparable to our average low this time of year.

Tomorrow, a slight warm-up is expected but we will remain well below normal during the day with highs around 75°. The remnants of Francine will ensure things stay cloudy and bring us some more wind and rain. For the rest of the weekend, things look to be about the same: cool, cloudy, and dreary. By next week, things should clear out as Francine will be moving out of the picture.
