A Washout in Athens!

Hanna Medler

Good evening, Dawgs! Today has been an absolute washout on campus! If you left home without an umbrella, you were very unlucky and most likely got caught in the rain between classes. Unfortunately, the moderate to heavy rainfall will continue and stick around for a few days on and off, with a brief respite on Friday. A Flood Watch is in effect through Thursday morning across portions of north and central Georgia. So make sure you stay weather-aware Dawgs and bring an extra pair of socks with you!

Tonight Athens will have a low of 38 degrees. Which is too different from our high today, but is still chilly! On Thursday, February 13, 2025, Athens, Georgia, is expected to experience a mix of early morning showers, followed by afternoon sunshine with some high clouds. The high tomorrow is 56 degrees. A similar pattern is expected for North Georgia with a slight warming up in the afternoon.

Thanks for reading and Go Dawgs!
